My period showed up today. So we're tryin again!

still no period

Its Tuesday, no visit from Aunt Flo, and I'm just going more nuts. Because the longer it takes for me to get my period the longer it is for me to try again when I think i'm ovulating and longer for me to find out if i'm once again pregnant or not. And well, I really hate waiting.

Yes I took another test (Dad told me I should just wait, guess he forgot who I was for a second) I got the cheapy Target old school non digital ones, it was so very very negative.

We've been trying to get pregnant. Well it just started this month, but I usually know when I ovulate. I should have gotten my period last night, and I've taken 2 tests that say negative, but I still haven't gotten my dang period!! Driving me nuts. If I don't get it by monday (would be a week late) then I'm taking another test. Did I mention it was driving me nuts?

Bayvin has been sick, cold with fever, just been laying around the house and missed school Thursday and Friday. She doesn't have school Monday because of Lincoln's Birthday, but hopefully she'll be better before then.

Work has been good for Grif but horrible for me, I haven't done a virtual tour since November, and it seems like my biggest client is now using someone else. So that's very reassuring.

We have termites, well had them. We had to pay $3200 to get rid of them and get a preventative treatment. Which seems to only cover subteraean, because we didn't fumigate which would cover drywall termites. And even though the treatment is suppose to make sure that no termites ever get in again, it doesn't cover the walls. And if we ever sell the house it has to be fumigated first. AND get a part of the garage wall fixed and a support underneath the house fixed. And if we want to get the warranty that if we ever do get termites again they come out and fix everything for free, is $95 a quarter... seems seriously expensive for something that MIGHT happen, our home owners insurance is less!

I really want to get Windows Vista... but its microsoft and its evil, but it looks so damn cool! Unfortunately I got to wait til all the kinks are out, and I've been told the games don't run as good, but still I want it!

Ok, had Christmas...
I got a cappuccino machine. Mmmm cappuccino and a really really nice coat that I wanted. Bayvin got an easy bake oven and the little mermaid doll that moves her fin like she wanted. Grif still hasn't gotten his present from me, because well, we didn't have the money and he wanted a rain check instead of getting something else. He wants a audio card for his studio. The one he really wants is $350 new, but he was willing to settle for the one that is $150 new. We've been looking on ebay to get it cheaper. Obviously we got a lot more presents, but too many to post about hehe.

New Years... the party was AWESOME. I made daiquiris with 150wooo!!! which is what we were calling Bacardi 151 after we had one... they were so good. My friend Jade came out from DC and I got her too drunk. She missed new years, threw up and went home around 10pm. But she didn't have a hang over the day after!

We just got back from visiting my mom in Anaheim and we went to Disneyland together. It was SO much fun!

We're getting ready for christmas and all that, and ready for the big huge New Years Eve Party. Its gonna be crazy here, but I can't wait!

I had a dream last night of being pregnant. I was going to a gym... then all of a sudden I was in the hospital cause I was having contractions and the doctor sent me home without even checking me. Got NO sleep last night.

Been having upper back/shoulder/neck pain... got drugs for it and saw the chiropractor, but its still hurting! No idea what I did to it.

My friend Mike is coming all the way from Iowa for the new years party and my friend Jade is coming all the way from D.C. for the party, just so excited about it!

I haven't sold any of my jewelry on ebay. I'm so disappointed in that, I can't understand why I didn't! But I'm still gonna set up a website for jewelry and advertise that, hopefully. So keep checking erinpriest.com

Got my haircut yesterday

Bayvin has been doing great in kindergarten. She gets flash cards and if she gets them all right 3 times she gets to go to the treasure box. There are some really good prizes in the treasure box.

This picture of Bayvin was on the local news last night. Once we pull it off the tivo we'll put put up the video of it. It was pretty neat :) They said her name and everything.

I've been getting web design jobs... tours are going slow, but at least I'm getting some. Bayvin is gonna be Ariel for halloween, and having an Ariel birthday party. I still have to get the cool supplies, but they have really neat Little Mermaid stuff out now since its been DVD released. She'll be getting lots of Ariel birthday presents too. What she wanted is the Lights and Sings Ariel or something... its a barbie doll with a mermaid fin and when you push the button on her back she'll say something or sing and her fin lights up and changes color. I think that about sums up what's been going on.

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Bayvin's first day of kindergarten. She goes half days in the morning, 8:25 - 11:50. She said she had lots of fun, but it was kinda boring.

We also now own a 2004 Ford Freestar. Only 9800 miles on it. Got a really really good deal on it.

Niri got outside. She got into a fight of some kind. Found her out on the patio on the wall and she was not too happy that I was picking her up, she had a nice big sore on her belly and has a cut above her eye and another wound on her back, that I can find. She didn't come out of her room for 3 days. Stayed mostly under the bed, but she seems to be doing better now. Hopefully she won't go outside again. The dogs probably wouldn't let her back in side and probably chased her when she was outside, so she couldn't get back inside.

3 more days til the countertop is put in!!! And then my kitchen is ALL finished! I'm so excited *said like the cat in the hat*

oh yeah...

New windows and carpet are in, and the new sink and cabinet are in the master bathroom and today we're working on the tub in the second bathroom, to make it a shower! And the cabinets are in the garage. My flooring for the kitchen is not in yet.. which is another post in its self... but I'm still waiting for the results of it at noon today... we'll see what happens...damn home depot.

Yesterday
- I spent over $5000 at Home Depot. Ordered the cabinets I've been working on for the last couple weeks. Design and everything, its gonna be so awesome.
- I ordered the new laminate flooring for the Den and schedule the measurement session for getting new carpet.
- I had a guy come and give an estimate to do the windows.

Today
-I talked to a guy about formica countertop. Because he said he could order it in a week, Home Depot says 2-3 weeks.
- Had another guy come and give an estimate for the windows, and he beat the other guys estimate cause he hates the window manufacture and says they're windows are better so we'll definitely beat the price, should have new windows in 3-5 weeks.
- Got my nails done.
- And Grif picked up his Tux.

Tomorrow
- Going to Bay Area for rehearsal dinner for Shon and Shannon's Wedding.
- I'm staying there to spend the night with the girls before the wedding, should be fun!

Saturday
- Shon and Shannon's Wedding!

So in short.
We're remodeling the kitchen, getting new flooring through the main part of the house (leaving the upstairs alone). Redoing the bathrooms. Getting new energy efficent windows. Still working on putting up the new fence. Hm, yeah, think that's it. I've been a bit busy.

My brother Jacob and his wife and kids are coming out the end of June, and then My folks and my brother Eamon are coming out mid July. And I'm hoping to have the bathrooms done by the time Jacob gets out and hopefully the windows and new flooring in before my folks get here. So then all that will be left is the kitchen. Which I'm just dying to get in, its gonna be so awesome. I just can't stand it! This is the extent of my patience, I can't believe I haven't passed out yet and had to be admitted to a hospital cause I'm going psycho having to wait for everything!!
I keep trying to tell myself its worth the wait, its worth the wait.

I've been making more of those wrap bracelets too. Made 2 for my Mom for her birthday and mother's day. Made 2 for my mother in law for Mother's day and I've myself 2! Just got more magnets to make more too, I should probably start trying to sell them on ebay!

Oh so the other thing that just blows my mind.
I had a handyman come over to give me an estimate on removing one of the windows we have in the kitchen, and walling it up. This place called the handyman connection. They give you a quote for just labor, then tell you what supplies you'll need and then you go pick them up. so JUST the labor was gonna be $1650. Its not that big of a window, bout 48"x48".

Alright, I know I haven't posted in awhile. Got lots going on. Got a line of credit to fix up the house, so we're currently in the process. We're in the planning stages unfortunately, but mostly know what we're gonna do, its just a matter of getting the time and scheduling everything at the right times. But we did get a new couch!!

Still working on everything else that we're gonna be going, bathrooms, floors, kitchen, new fence, new windows... gonna be an awesome house after that!

long time...

Well.. yesterday was my birthday. I turned 27. I've been super busy and even sick.

Bayvin is going to a parent participation preschool. She's having lots of fun. Just gets to play with kids 3 days a week. Even has some boyfriends.. *wink wink* She's just adorable, such a little KID! She'll say bye to the kids, see you next time and just walk off and big and tall, and I just can't get over it!

March 3rd, my dad had bypass surgery. I flew out to Wisconsin on March 2nd, it was a very very long day. But I was there to see him before he went in. It went very very well, he hadn't had a heart attack, so his heart was still in good condition. But he had 4 bypasses. He's doing great now. We'll be going out there in June or July. What's even cooler is that I can get a deal and all 3 tickets will be purchased with the miles that I have!

I've had a really bad head cold the last week, still in my throat pretty bad now, seems to be going into the lungs, dunno, hoping I get better very soon. Instantly would be the best.

good news

Chest X-ray was negative. Bayvin got her skin test done and she tested negative. Grif is gonna get his soon, supposedly the doc's office has yet to call me back. Told me they have to get doc approval and to make sure they actually have it, pretty much went "what the fuck" but whatever. Hate that doctor and her office, so by March he's gonna have my doctor.

news of the week

Well.
I took a tour of the Parent Participation Preschool in town, cause its cheap and was/is gonna put Bayvin in it. Because parents participation and are like teachers, I had to get a TB skin test taken.

It is positive. I have to get a chest x-ray done on monday and Grif and Bayvin both have to be tested. If its inactive I have to take a drug for the next 6 months, I don't seem to have any symptoms so I don't think it could be active, so we'll just wait to see what the x-ray says.

Magnetic Wrap Bracelets/Necklaces

They're so cool. Brenda got one for christmas and we thought they were so cool, I found some more on ebay and I bought 2 for me, and she got 2 for her birthday, and I bought more of the hematite magnetics to make our own!

The red one is a little small, ran out of beads, so I might remake it, but I got a bunch more beads to make more. There's suppose to be some magnetic healing or whatever associated, but I just think they're cool. Plus they don't pinch the hairs on my arms like stretchy bracelets. And with making my own I can make matching earrings.

Besides the fact that I can stand up and type (its a little tall) its freaking awesome! Got lots of drawer space and desk space. Though I think the DVD shelves might have to get moved up a bit, but I'm so happy to have a real desk.
