new printer
Well I got a new all in one printer. Canon Pixma MF760. Its pretty cool. I looked over ratings for a bunch, supposedly some HP was the bomb, but I like the seperate ink cartidges. It doesn't fax, but that's alright. The old one should still fax ok, just the fast printing on it doesn't work and neither does the copying, i'm hoping the scanning does work or faxign won't work. So I paid a total of $250 for the printer, so that puts off me getting a laptop. Soon as all my business stuff is paid off I get to get a laptop! If I can take a laptop on the tours, it should cut down on any bad looking images, or me having to fix them up. There have been some really dark shots and I don't notice it til I get home and look at them, Even some look fine through the window, but when they get stitched, it messed up some of the coloring. So if I could see if before I leave, I can make sure they are all GREAT. Also it'll have a CD burner, so I'll be able to give them any still pictures right there. It'll be cool :)

The dark looking shots are because your camera light metered on something really bright (like the sky or a reflection or something with a lot of light.) Your picture was essentially overexposed.
You can get a better picture by light metering on something gray toned (I go for someone wearing blue jeans) (or you can buy a little gray card at the camera store for just a few bucks) in your line of view, then taking the picture using those stops.
Or you can change the stops manually compensating for the extra light. Of course, if you run your camera on an automatic mode there probably is one that compensates for bright light. You probably already know all of this....sorry if I am being a redundant know-it-all.
hehe, no actually it is hard, and i usually take like 3 or 4 pictures to get the best one with letting more light in or less, and sometimes even stitch. its those big panoramic windows on a sunny day. so if all the camera see is the big sunny window the little bit around is is so dark, with the flash it looks funny, there are some adjustments in photoshop but it usually washes it out. I have been thinking about trying to take some photography classes, but that won't necessarily help me figure my camera out. I've learned to let less light in or out, but sometimes that just doesn't work, also if i let more light in so that everything around it is brighter, than the outside is too bright and you don't get to see the nice view. Those houses are great for natural light, just not when taking pictures! :)
